In the spirit of the 80th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the special envoy of the President of Tourism, Zita Anjani, led the raising of the Red and White flag in Ranu Kumbolo, Mount Semeru, Thursday (8/14).
The bright mountain air was a witness to the solemnity of the ceremony which was attended by around 50 participants from various parts of the country.
What makes this celebration special, the Red and White Flag was raised simultaneously in eight different locations throughout Indonesia.
Eight young creators raised him at the top of the mountain, iconic beach, to remote villages, uniting a variety of landscapes under the same sky.
Zita is not alone climbing Semeru.He was accompanied by Kang Hikmat, a disabled climber and an extraordinary school teacher who climbed even without his legs, as well as Indra, a drone pilot from Jogja who documented this historic moment.
Although their role is large, but spotlight is still aimed at the collective spirit, namely the love of the motherland is not limited to terrain, body shape, or social status.
“Under the same sky, we celebrate Indonesia from where we stand. It’s not a matter of how high we can climb, but how deep we love this country,” Zita said after the ceremony.
As a young figure trusted directly by President Prabowo Subianto to bring a new face of Indonesian tourism, Zita said, this commemoration of independence became an important moment to inspire people to love the country in their own way.Including by protecting nature and celebrating the diversity of Indonesia through travel.
