The annual race at the northernmost point of the world, the North Pole Marathon was held with the aim of fighting climate change in Arctic.
This marathon is also a scientific expedition to give participants the opportunity to learn about the North Polar ice layer.
The runners who joined the marathon, were transported using French Explorer Le Commandant Charcot.
The north pole faces a significant increase in temperature with the arctic heats up three times faster than the global average.
