The legendary Kazem ice cream shop from Gaza, Palestine, is open in Ajman, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Kazem was forced to close his branches in 2023 due to the escalation of Israeli attacks in Gaza.
Founded in 1950, Kazem is known as the “Barrad” traditional ice cream and drinks which arouse the nostalgia of the Palestinian community.
This ice cream shop was reopened in Gaza last February, but was constrained by supply blockade, so it was closed.
The owner, Abu Shaban, called the opening in Ajman as an effort to preserve Palestinian heritage internationally.
Abu Shaban also plans to expand the shop to other cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
