, Giang himself was previously widely known in Vietnam.He managed to penetrate the Vietnam Idol contest in 2012 as the first transgender contestant and sat in the top four.
Giang is also a singer, through the album he released in 2013 titled

Before competing at Miss Universe Vietnam, Giang also won the Miss International Queen beauty contest in Thailand.

“Miss Universe has become a stage where, whatever your situation, all women are women, support each other and shine together in front of billions of people,” Giang wrote in her Instagram upload.
He also said that Miss Universe 2025 waited for great women to perform and share strong messages with the world.
“This is not just a story about transgender. This is a story about humans, about faith. Believe, with enough effort, one day, you can all change your own life. Your starting point does not determine your limits,” he added.
The Miss Universe organization has revoked a ban on transgender women in 20212. Since then, a number of transgender women have participated in the competition.
In 2018, there was Angela Ponce representing Spain.Followed by Rikkie Kolle from the Netherlands and Marina Machete from Portugal in 2023.
Until now, no transgender woman has won the contest.Only Marina Machete made it into the top 20 ranks.
The Miss Universe 2025 event itself is planned to take place in Thailand starting November 21.
