Archaeologists have made a big breakthrough after checking the tomb
Egypt
Ancient 4,400 years old which is estimated to belong to a prince who was previously unknown, Usefre.
The large pink granite door is now the largest ever found in Egypt. This mysterious door, although it resembles a functional door, actually cannot be opened but stands upright with a height of 4.5 meters and a width of 1.15 meters.
Experts believe that it was once a symbolic portal that allowed the soul of the dead to travel to the afterlife, holding a deep spiritual meaning for the ancient Egyptians.
This discovery was carried out at Nekropolis Saqqara, Egypt, during the excavation led by the former Archaeological Minister, Dr.Zahi Hawass. These findings are believed to be a clear proof of the amount of time and resources devoted to achieve eternal rest.
Decorated with very rich details, the door contains the Hieroglyive inscription who recorded impressive Pangeran Usefre titles, although previously not known by scholars.
These titles include the prince of descendants, the Governor of Buto and Nekhbet, the royal clerk, minister, judges, and priests of the singing readers.
Ronald Leprohon, Professor of Egiptology Emeritus at Toronto University, admitted that the previous research team did not know about Usefre.”We don’t even know that he is there,” said Lepranggu, as reported by

.
However, according to this inscription, the Prince is the son of the King of Userkaf, known as the founder of the fifth Egyptian dynasty, thus giving a rich history of the discovery of this team.
Dr.Melanie Pitkin, from the University of Cambridge, previously explained the purpose behind the fake door and how the doors function as portals that allow the power of life, also known as ‘ka’, of those who have died to travel between the grave and the Baka realm.
“Family members and priests will come to the tomb where the fake door stands, and they will recite the name of the deceased and their achievements and leave offerings,” said Melanie Pitkin.
“Train from the deceased then miraculously will travel between the burial room and the underworld. He will come and collect food, drinks, and offerings from the tombs to help him survive in the afterlife,” he explained.
Rare granite and honorary status
Not only that was found by archeologists. They also found 13 high-standing chairs which all showed statues carved from the same pink granite. This aspect is very interesting, because the fake doors found in Egyptian tombs are usually made of limestone.
Experts believe that, because of the scarcity of pink and red granite, most likely the material is dug and transported from Aswan, around 650 km away, and therefore only intended for nobles. Not to mention, this very large door size reflects the status of Prince Usefre which is elevated in the royal hierarchy.
