The addition of this quota was announced by the President Commissioner of PT Injourney Destination Management (IDM) or PT Taman Wisata Borobudur Temple, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (TWC), Kacung Marijan, to reporters at Borobudur Temple on Saturday (26/7).
“Alhamdulillah, we have reached an agreement with the Ministry of Culture to increase the number of visitors who can rise to Borobudur Temple. From the previous 1,200 per day, it has now been increased to 3,000 per day for a while, and will be gradual,” explained Kacung, as reported by

This quota increase is in line with the trial of new tourist destinations in Borobudur, namely the experience of hunting

.This new destination makes the operating hours of tourist attractions open early, so that the addition of quota will not cause excessive density on the temple.
“One of the reasons for the addition of this quota is because of the visitor option to enjoy the sunrise. If previously entering starting at 07.00 WIB, tourists can now enter early,” he added.
Kacung stressed that the addition of this quota is still in the trial stage and certainly will not threaten the preservation of the Borobudur Temple.
