Researchers collect blood vessel health data and blood test results at the beginning and end of the study or 12 weeks afterwards.
As a result, those who eat pecan peanuts experience a decrease in total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, total cholesterol ratio to HDL, and triglycerides compared to those who don’t eat pecan beans.
“These results add to the broad base of evidence that support the cardiovascular benefits of nuts and add insight into how adults can put nuts into their diet to improve their overall quality of their diet,” said Kristina Petersen, one of the study authors, quoting from the page
