The government has re -launched the government value added tax incentives (PPN DTP) by 50 percent for purchases
flight ticket
and transportation services ahead of the Christmas period 2025 and the new year 2026 (Nataru).
This announcement was made by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto in a press conference at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Office, Jakarta, on Monday, September 22, 2025.
“We have prepared DTP VAT for airline tickets and transportation services on a certain day and time, as we have given before, with a portion of 50 percent,” Airlangga said.

He explained that this policy was proposed by the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Transportation as part of efforts to support the tourism and transportation sectors during the year -end holiday period.
In addition, Airlangga also announced that the government together with business actors will again hold a National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) on 10 to 16 December 2025.
Harbolnas this year is targeting a transaction value of Rp33 trillion to Rp35 trillion, an increase of around 10 percent compared to the realization of Harbolnas 2024 which reached Rp31.2 trillion.
Airlangga asserted that household consumption is the largest contributor to national economic growth, with a contribution of around 54 percent.
He is optimistic that the implementation of Harbolnas 2025 can encourage public consumption, thus leaving economic growth in the second semester of 2025.
As part of the economic stimulus package at the end of 2025, DTP PPN incentives 50 percent for airline tickets and transportation services and the implementation of Harbolnas are expected to strengthen the purchasing power of the community and support national economy recovery.
