(SPA) On Monday (6/10/2025), the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that the visas that apply to the Umrah include family visit visas, personal visit visas, E-Turism visas, transit visas, work visas, and various other types of visas.
This policy is part of the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to simplify the Umrah worship procedures while expanding access to Hajj and Umrah services.This step is in line with the vision of Saudi 2030 which aims to improve the quality of services for pilgrims.

“This step shows the kingdom’s commitment to facilitate Muslims from various parts of the world in carrying out the Umrah service comfortably and smoothly,” the Ministry’s statement was quoted as saying by SPA.
To support this convenience, the ministry has presented a digital platform of Umrah.This platform allows pilgrims to choose the Umrah package independently without intermediaries, get digital permission quickly, and arrange the schedule of worship flexibly as needed.
In addition, the Saudi Arabian government continues to innovate to support the Saudi 2030 vision. One of them is the provision of digital services at the Grand Mosque, such as interactive maps that can be accessed via mobile phones.
Specific services for elderly congregations and people with disabilities are also available, including wheelchair facilities and electric scooters for tawaf needs in two holy mosques.
Based on data from the Saudi Arabian Statistics Agency (Gastat), the number of Umrah pilgrims in the first quarter of 2025 reached 15,222,497 people, an increase of 10.7 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.This figure shows a positive trend in the visit of foreign pilgrims to the Holy Land.
With these various breakthroughs, Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its position as the main destination for Muslims who want to perform Umrah more easily and comfortably.
