Opened the regular air route between Moscow and Pyongyang, North Korea, on Sunday (7/27).This step reflects the increasingly close relationship between the two countries.
The first flight operated by Russian airline Nordwind took off from Sheremetyevo Moscow Airport on Sunday (27/7), transporting more than 400 passengers, and landed in the North Korean capital about eight hours later.
According to the Russian TASS government media, the ticket price for the flight is priced at 45,000 rubles or around Rp9.1 million.As reported

, Tass reported that the authorities had given permission to Nordwind to fly to North Korea in July 2025.
The airline used to bring Russian citizens to vacation destinations throughout Europe, including Spain and Germany, until the European Union prohibits Russian airlines from operating in its air region in 2022.
The Russian Ministry of Transportation said there would be one flight every month to meet demand.This might be the first regular flight between the two capitals since the mid-1990s, according to the Russian flight blog.This step follows the opening of the 10 -day Moscow train service to Pyongyang in June 2025.
Previously, the only direct flight between Russia and North Korea was a service from Vladivostok in the Far East Russia.
North Korean tourism
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who visited the new Wonsan-Kalma beach resort in North Korea earlier this month to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, promised to encourage Russian tourists to visit the complex.
The resort, which can accommodate nearly 20,000 people has become the center of KIM’s efforts to improve tourism to improve the economy of his problems.
North Korea has slowly loosen the restrictions imposed during Pandemi and reopen its border gradually.
However, North Korea has not stated whether to fully continue international tourism.Restrictions still prohibit most foreign tourists from entering the country.
Regular flights between the eastern port cities of Russia, Vladivostok, and Pyongyang are reopened in 2023 after the break caused by the Corona virus pandemic.
Russia and North Korea have expanded military relations and others in recent years, with Pyongyang supplying weapons and troops to support Russian military actions in Ukraine.
