AMANHOHASHIDATE is a 3.6 km natural sand mound that stretches in the Bay of Miyazu in North Kyoto Prefecture,
Japan
.
Known as a Japanese heavenly floating bridge, this place is shrouded in pine trees and soft white sand, forming a quiet lagoon called the Asoumi Sea.
Unlike other sand mounds in Japan, AmanoHashidate does not face directly to the high seas.
Conversely, this mound is formed by sediments brought from Wakasa Bay for centuries, colliding with currents from the stain river.The result is one of the most iconic natural landscapes in Japan.
Known as a natural wonders since the 8th century, Amanohashidate has been displayed in many ancient Japanese texts and paintings, which originated in the 1400s, launched

The most famous in the big painting by the Ulung Sesshu Toyo painter, and as a wooden printing by the legend of Ukiyo-E, Utagawa Hiroshige.
In 1643, a Confucian Scholar proclaimed AmanoHashidate as one of the three Japanese scenes, confirmed his place as a cultural treasure.
In 1873, this area was designated as a quasi-national park, and finally, as an important cultural landscape of the state in 2015.
Beyond its natural beauty, this region is famous for its textile and wrinkled silk cloth called Tango Chirimen, which is used for special kimono.
Fresh seafood is also abundant in this region and the culinary traditions are the same rich.The local specialties include Chikuwa, Baked Fish Cakes, and Chie No Mochi, favorite rice cakes that have been enjoyed by local residents for several generations.
