AMANHOHASHIDATE is a 3.6 km natural sand mound that stretches in the Bay of Miyazu in North Kyoto Prefecture,

Known as a Japanese heavenly floating bridge, this place is shrouded in pine trees and soft white sand, forming a quiet lagoon called the Asoumi Sea.
Unlike other sand mounds in Japan, AmanoHashidate does not face directly to the high seas.
Conversely, this mound is formed by sediments brought from Wakasa Bay for centuries, colliding with currents from the stain river.The result is one of the most iconic natural landscapes in Japan.

Fresh seafood is also abundant in this region and the culinary traditions are the same rich.The local specialties include Chikuwa, Baked Fish Cakes, and Chie No Mochi, favorite rice cakes that have been enjoyed by local residents for several generations.
